Inter-State Horse Show Association
Dear Exhibitor and Horse Enthusiast:
We hope this letter finds everyone in good health and ready for show season 2024. The Triple Point *Plus* Show will be held at the Portage County Fairgrounds on June 21, 22 & 23.
It's time to join Inter-State Horse Show Association, Inc. ("IHSA") for the 2024 horse show season. The horse shows are joining and they want your name and address. Don't put it off, join today. Membership lists are going to be sent to approved horse shows beginning of May. As in the past, you must show your horse in its nominated IHSA approved class at three member shows to qualify for year-end awards. Double points will be offered again at designated shows. Please Note: Points count for shows attended after membership application has been received.
Changes This Year: Native Costume division has been divided into Arabian and Half Arabian. Walk Trot Pleasure 18 Yrs. & Over is divided by horse and rider Walk Trot Pleasure 18 Yrs. & Over Open Rider Class (Rider cannot go in a canter class) and Walk Trot Pleasure 18 Yrs. & Over Open Horse Class (Horse cannot go in a canter class). If you have questions about this change contact Chip Walker at ctcwalk@comcast.net or 724-433-2196.
The fee will remain $5.00 to nominate your horse and then you may enter as many classes as you like at a cost of $1.00 per class. (Each block you check is $1.00) Remember though, you must show your horse in a nominated class at three shows to qualify that class for year-end awards. Equitation riders must pay a flat fee of $5.00 for any equitation class to be eligible for points and must also show at three different shows to qualify.
Back by popular demand, if you join by May 1st, deduct $5.00 from your membership. We are also continuing the Non Member Show point incentive.
We wish everyone a great 2024 and good luck at the horse shows.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Brown
President
